I am a gender historian of the early modern period, interested in global history and connections between people around the world, especially in South America, Asia and Europe in the fields of politics, diplomacy, and cultural exchange.

I specialise in archival research, particularly the use of letters and chancery documentation, to paint a broader picture of the ways in which gender affected the actions, representations, and receptions of different groups in Europe, Asia and the Americas during the early modern period.
